Mindfulness practice research has shown to reduce stress, increase productivity, decrease feeling overwhelmed and support an overall sense of wellbeing. Since April 2020, ISU Wellbeing has created a community through Mid-Morning Mindfulness for our faculty and staff to gather and practice together. These sessions include practices such as breath awareness, body awareness, loving kindness, gratitude, silence, and a variety of other techniques.
In addition to Mid-Morning Mindfulness, we have introduced a Mid-Day Mindfulness silent practice. These Wednesday sessions will include a brief introduction to get ready for the practice and then an invitation to sit in silence for the remainder of the session.
Try out our silent practice here.
