Well-being Assessment

What is the Assessment?

The well-being assessment is a comprehensive questionnaire that assesses your current state of well-being. This whole person assessment looks at your work satisfaction, overall well-being, health habits, emotional well-being, and resilience.  The information is then used to provide you with a report of your current state and to make recommendations for next steps in improving your health and well-being.

After the Assessment

After the assessment, your results are aggregated into six categories. Reaching Potential, Emotional, Physical, Capacity for Change, Work, and Health. These groupings reflect where you stand when it comes to the key life areas that make up your overall health and well-being. You may find you're above average in some dimensions and below average in others. There are also subcategories within each area that simplify what specific topics you may want to give attention to or celebrate.

Reaching Potential

Achieving well-being - physical, emotional and financial - is easier when you have purpose, self-awareness and a plan. Find and cultivate these to reach your full potential.

Emotional

Your emotional health is no less important than your physical health. In fact, in many ways, the two are connected and can affect each other. When you're emotionally healthy, you feel content, enjoy life, are able to effectively manage stress, bounce back from adversity, and build healthy relationships.

Physical

Good physical health is the foundation of well-being. It means you take excellent care of your body - everything from personal hygiene and eating a healthy diet, to getting plenty of exercise and sleep. It also means you get regular check-ups and preventive screenings, immunizations, etc. Without good physical health, it's difficult to focus on your work, relationships, and anything else that contributes to your quality of life.

Capacity for Change

Being honest with yourself about where you need to make changes in your life is a sign of emotional well-being. Even better is your ability to do so - though it's often not easy and can take time. But when you focus on changing your own faults, you'll find yourself living a happier, more peaceful life.

Work

Having a healthy professional life means you feel your work has meaning; you feel valued and recognized, you set boundaries, don't feel overwhelmed, and enjoy your co-workers. While there are always times when you work more than normal, are managing conflict, or are buried in deadlines, this should be the exception rather than the norm. When your work life is healthy, it has a positive impact on your overall well-being.

Health

Understanding your risks is the most important first step on the path to better health. Knowledge is truly power especially when you know what you can improve. Whether it is getting to a healthy weight, quitting smoking, or reducing your back pain, you can make a plan to lower your risks and live a longer, healthier life.
